In ancient times Genoese bakers identified them as small canestrelli, but the “cocoa canestrellini” have a character all of their own. It’s superfluous to say that they became a kids-favorite in Grondona’s collection.
Made as they used to be with the original short pastry recipe. Thanks to Grondona now these pastries have brought even more tastiness to the Italian pastries tradition.
All the natural ingredients of the plain canestrellini are used in this biscuit as well.
Cocoa mixes, drops of pure dark chocolate, worked with selected flours, egg yolks, sugar, and a drop of lemon: can you smell the scent already?
