Inspiration has no need for brushes. Gallette is an essential Italian biscuit, a plain cookie as versatile as ancient.

It was 1803 when Mr. Edward, an eccentric London baker, looked at sailors’ crackers and saw buttery and milk-rich biscuits which would make tea-time an even more delicious occasion from thereon.

In 1920 Orlando Grondona rewrites Mr. Edward’s recipe with his quality rules and inserts it into the small black notebook of good things.  In Grondona’s crackers, there is a rich and full flavor of milk, pure butter, and selected flours.

INGREDIENTS: wheat flour, butter 17%, sugar, sweetened concentrated milk 5.5% (milk, sugar), milk powder 2.6%, fresh eggs, raising agents (ammonium hydrogen carbonate, sodium hydrogen carbonate), lemon juice, salt, Madagascar vanilla pods.

FREE OF HYDROGENATED FATS AND PALM OIL. Store in a cool, dry place. Made in Italy.

May contain traces of nuts, soya and cereals containing gluten (i.e. wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, kamut or their hybrid strains) and derived products.
